10 & 30-Hour Maritime

OSHA designed the 10-hour maritime course for industry workers to learn how to file a complaint, employer responsiblities in the workplace, and how identify and abate safety hazards.

This is a voluntary program that does not meet ANY OSHA training requirements.  For information on OSHA-required training, see our other services.

However, the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) issued regulation 009-74, requiring all repair and maintenance employees on vessels, dry docks or piers to have a valid 10-hour OSHA Maritime (#7615) Shipyard Employment Card within 60 days of employment.

Authorized by OSHA 5400, our trainers conduct the two-day course either at your facility, our training center in Maryland, or a third-party facility.  Then, training documents are submitted OSHA, who sends #7615 Shipyard Employment cards to be distributed.
